A taka used to be sixteen annas, so ষোলো আনা, meaning “sixteen annas”, came to mean the whole of something, with nothing missing. It is how this app treats your money: every amount is held to the last poisha, and split shares always add back up to the exact total.

What the app does
Events
Create an event for a trip, party or shared flat, add the people, and record what each expense cost and who paid.
Event fund
Collect money into a shared pot up front and pay expenses straight out of it, instead of chasing five people afterwards.
Flexible splits
Split equally, by exact amounts or by percentage. Multiple people can pay for one bill.
Settle up
See at a glance who still owes the event and who gets money back, and mark it done once it is paid.
Lent & borrowed
Track one-to-one debts with due dates, partial repayments and on-device reminders.
Backups
Export everything to a single file and restore it on a new phone. Your data never touches a server.
How your data is handled
Sholoana keeps every event, expense, contact and debt in a database file on your own phone. There is no server to sync with, no account to create and no analytics watching what you do. The only copies that ever leave the device are the ones you export yourself.
That comes with one honest trade-off: if you lose the phone without a backup, the records are gone. The Security page explains this, and everything else worth knowing, in detail.
