Delete my data
Sholoana has no accounts and no servers, so there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf, and nothing you need to ask permission for. Everything is removed from your side.

Delete a single record
Open the record in the app and use the delete action at the bottom of its form. This works for expenses, contributions and refunds, settle-up payments, personal debts and repayments. Deleting an expense also removes its payers and shares; deleting an event removes everything recorded inside it.
Delete a person
A contact can be deleted from People once they are no longer referenced by any event, debt or payment. This is deliberate: removing someone who still appears in a shared expense would leave your balances wrong. Delete or reassign those records first.
Delete everything
- Optional but recommended: Settings → Export backup, in case you want the data back later.
- Long-press the Sholoana icon → App info → Storage → Clear storage. This empties the database and returns the app to its first-run state.
- Or simply uninstall the app. Android deletes its private storage, including the database, along with it.
Both actions are immediate and irreversible. There is no cloud copy on our side to restore from, only a backup file you exported yourself.
Copies that live outside the app
Two copies can exist beyond the app’s own storage, and you control both:
- Backup files you exported. Delete them wherever you saved them: Drive, email, your Downloads folder, a chat thread.
- Android device backup. If device backup is on, your phone may hold a copy of the app’s data in your Google Drive backup. Manage or delete it in Android Settings → Google → Backup, or at drive.google.com under Backups.
